Ultra High-Speed Rotary Drum & Twin Channel
Ultra High-Speed Rotary Drum system for ultra-fast rotary cutting, and Twin Channel for safe, automated closed-channel bar delivery.
Ultra High-Speed Rotary Drum
The Double Drive Rotary Drum system assures less than half the response time compared to a Twin Channel, making it highly suitable for rolling mills with a capacity of above 30 tons per hour. The drive system is installed on both the entry and far side, enabling very close control over the start-stop operation of the UHSRD. Unlike the twin channel, there is no deflection on either the entry or exit side, while the reduced slot size for receiving rebar adds to better control and smooth running at high speeds. The multi-channel design provides sufficient time to stop the bar before it drops onto the cooling bed, ensuring greater operational reliability. PPRM's UHSRD is designed for high-performance applications and is suitable for operating at Ø8mm at 40 m/s with a cycle time of 1.4 seconds.
- Faster Response Time
- Reduced Rebar Slot Size
- Dual-Side Drive Control
- Multi-Channel Bar Control
- Zero Entry Deflection
- High-Speed Precision Operation

Twin Channel
The twin channel system ensures safe and efficient bar handling at cooling beds during high-speed rolling. Available for bar sizes up to 40mm with stock speeds up to 32 m/s, it carries bars in a closed channel until standstill, then automatically discharges to the bed below. The closed channel design minimizes accident hazards, making it essential for high-speed rolling operations. It works in conjunction with braking pinch rolls, reducing run-in length. Operations are fully automated, guided by rod discharge from the dividing shear. Cast iron center boxes further reduce maintenance time significantly.
